Advanced GeneSys Training
Target
Audience
: Psychologists
and support staff in charge of a GeneSys system, who need to use the system at
an advanced level. Delegates need to have a good working knowledge of the
Windows operating system. Delegates need to bring a laptop computer with GeneSys
installed and a dongle, to the training for practical work. Credits used during
training will be restored afterwards.
Purpose
: To
enable users to make use of the sophisticated features of the GeneSys program.
Duration
: One
day.
Outcomes:
-
Being
able to install GeneSys on stand-alone computers and on a network.
-
Being
familiar with the basic operation of the GeneSys system – setting up
respondents, administering tests, capturing pencil and paper data, norm
selection and reporting.

Knowing
how to set up the Remote Questionnaire Administrator in a computerised
testroom
-
Being
able to use the Remote Questionnaire Administrator’s control panel to set
up and control testing stations on a network.

Understanding
how the GeneSys system works – the folder structure and various databases.
-
Being
familiar with creating and managing groups of respondents on GeneSys.
-
Knowing
how to create and update norm groups.
-
Proficiency
in importing and exporting data for backup purposes, sharing of data with
other users and research purposes.

Proficiency
in creating custom test batteries and reports using the GeneSys
customisation feature.
-
Understanding
how to use customised batteries on the GeneSys Remote Questionnaire
Administrator.

Being
able to update GeneSys.
-
Understanding
technical, legal and ethical aspects of internet-based testing.

GeneSys Profiler training
Target
audience
: Psychologists
who need to use the Profiler module for project work.
Delegates
need to have a sound knowledge of the following:

specific training requirements are specified, but if users have not acquired the
necessary level of competence, they will not obtain maximum benefit from the
training.
Delegates
need to bring a laptop computer with GeneSys installed, to the training.
Purpose
: To
become proficient in using the Profiler module
Duration
: One

on profiles:

able to create a report that shows the measured profile against the ideal
profile in graphic form for a questionnaire.

Calculating
profile match scores for respondents.

Ranking
respondents in terms of similarity to an ideal profile.

Being
proficient in using the Profiler in Placement mode to find the most suitable
position for a person that has been assessed.

Being
proficient in using Profiler output to enhance your reporting on individuals
or projects.

the issues involved in giving feedback on profile match results.
